This blog is about films and cinema in virtual worlds, it's not about machinima. Machinima shows recorded moving pictures of virtual worlds, but isn't itself virtual.

BUT: Most of the process to make a virtual movie, e.g., a coded live movie, is the same as making a machinima. Both need movie sets, builds, actors, sound, lighting, clothing, make-up, gestures, animations etc. And you could use the scripts for coded live movies to make machinima.

An example: If you want to shoot some sequences of a movie story with different shot sizes, you can make it in one shot with perfect continuity using the (Free) Coded Movie Maker Basic (no lag provided).

So I hope this blog will also have a lot of useful information for machinima makers, I will continue to make both in the future, coded movies AND machinima.
